Elizabeth Eberle took the title with a record-breaking performance earlier this week in Maryville, Ohio.

The Madison Central sophomore shot a -8, 136, in the Golfweek Junior Tour Event at Darby County Club. Eberle won the girls 14-and-under division by 12 strokes.

Her score was the lowest 36-hole total and lowest under-par mark in Golfweek Tour history in this age group.

The previous record was -4, 140, by Morgan Dabagia at Cherry Blossom in 2016.

Eberle had -5, 67 on Monday in the opening round and followed that up with a -3, 69, on Tuesday. She had nine birdies — and just one bogey — in the two-day event.

In the opening round, Eberle had birdies on No. 5, 8, 9, 10 and 14. In the second round, she had birdies on No. 8, 15, 17, and 18, with a bogey on the par-3 No. 7.

Anna Swan took second at the Golfweek event with a total score of +4, 148.

Eberle shot an 82 at last year's Region 9 Tournament at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville. She tied for seventh, but lost in a playoff for the final at-large spot in the KHSAA State Tournament.
