The Lady Mountaineers (11-3, 6-0 USAS) shot just 33 percent from the field in the first half Wednesday on the road against USA South Conference rival Covenant College (6-4. 3-1).
They still had a six-point lead at the break.
That advantage got much bigger as Berea's offense started to click in the second half.
Aaliyah Hampton had 17 points, four rebounds and three steals as the Lady Mountaineers stayed unbeaten in league play with a 61-33 win over the Scots in Lookout Mountain, Ga. Destiny Combs had 15 points and six rebounds, while Jayden Merriweather had 13 points and four rebounds.
Berea trailed 10-6 after the first quarter, but rallied to take a 20-14 advantage into halftime.
The Lady Mountaineers were 8-of-24 from the field in the first half and 14-of-26 from the field in the second half.
Berea had 26 points in the paint and scored 23 points off 26 Covenant turnovers.
Bailee Vanover had five points and four rebounds. Dailyn Spalding had five points and Destanie Love finished with four points and 10 rebounds. JeKauri McKeithen had two points and four rebounds.
Berea is set to return to action Saturday at USA South rival Brevard College.
