The Berea College women's basketball team pushed its winning streak to six games with a very impressive performance on Saturday at the Seabury Center.
Freshman guard Aaliyah Hampton had 28 points, four assists and four steals as the the Lady Mountaineers (11-2) defeated LaGrange College, 84-55. Briana Lanham added 18 points and Leah Parker had 14 points. Destiny Combs also had 10 points.
The win moved Berea to 4-0 in the USA South Conference.
Hampton was 13-of-14 at the free throw line and also hit a trio of three-pointers. The freshman also had 28 points on Friday in a win over Asbury University at the Seabury Center.
Lanham was 5-of-7 from three-point range and had three rebounds.
Berea was up 26-19 after the first quarter and took a 48-28 lead into halftime.
The Lady Mountaineers had 18 turnovers, but hit 26-of-35 free throws.
Bailee Vanover had five points and Bethanie Williams had two points and five rebounds.
Adrienne Beggs had three points and four rebounds, while Isis Hill and Kristin Barnes had two points each.
Berea is set to return to action Wednesday at home against USA South rival Huntingdon.
