For the second-straight game, the Lady Mountaineers were forced to overtime.

And for the second-straight game, they were able to come up with a hard-fought victory.

Bethanie Williams had 21 points and 11 rebounds as Berea College earned a 72-69 OT win over USA South Conference rival Maryville College Wednesday at the Seabury Center.

Briana Lanham had 21 points and nine rebounds and Kirstin Barnes had 14 points to help Berea move to 13-4 on the season and 9-1 in the USA South.

The Lady Mountaineers have won four-straight games.

Berea never trailed in overtime. The game was tied (69-69) before the Lady Mountaineers scored the final three points in the final minute -- a lay-up by Williams and a free throw by Bailee Vanover.

Vanover had eight points and five assists. Nakeisha Greene had five points and Isis Hill had three points.

The game featured 10 ties and eight lead changes.

Berea shot 34 percent from the field and was 7-of-25 from three-point range and 17-of-25 at the line.

The Lady Mountaineers are set to return to action Saturday at home against Piedmont College.
