The Lady Mountaineers had just a three-point lead early in the fourth quarter of Saturday's USA South Conference Tournament quarterfinal showdown with William Peace University.
After that, they took control.
Berea College (21-5) put together a 17-0 run and pulled away for a 71-52 victory at the Seabury Center. Bailee Vanover had a game-high 21 points, while Nakeisha Greene added 11 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lady Mountaineers advance to the USA South Tournament semifinals for the second-straight season. They will face Averett University next Saturday in Demorest, Ga.
The USA South Tournament's semifinals and finals are being played at Peidmont College.
Berea had a 34-30 lead at halftime and was up 46-40 heading into the final period. The Lady Mountaineers out-scored the Lady Pacers (16-11) 25-12 in the fourth quarter.
Briana Lanham had 11 points and six rebounds for Berea. Bethanie Williams had 11 points. Kristin Barnes had nine points. Kiley Barnard had four points, while Destanie Love and Isis Hill had two points each.
Berea shot 43.6 percent from the field, hit 3-of-11 three-pointers and was 20-of-34 at the free throw line.
The Lady Mountaineers had 21 second-chance points, 17 points off turnovers and 40 points in the paint.
Berea and Averett College (18-8) have not met this season.
Mountaineers fall in season finale
The Berea College men's basketball team wrapped up the 2018-19 season with an 81-71 loss to Averitt College on Saturday at Danville, Va.
The Mountaineers (11-14, 6-12 USA South) did not qualify for the USA South Conference Tournament for the second-straight season. Berea lost its final five games.
Isaac Caudill had 22 points and five rebounds for the Mountaineers. Torell Carter had 18 points and six rebounds. Deandre Lightfoot had 12 points and four rebounds. Andrew Doty had six points and eight rebounds, while Mitchell Embree had six points.
Berea had a two-point lead at halftime, but was out-scored 41-29 in the second half.
