Madison Southern and Madison Central both advanced to the 11th Region Baseball Tournament semifinals earlier this week.
Four players who were a big part of their team's success were honored on Wednesday.
Southern's Britten Robinson and Michael Bannister, along with Central's Scott Simmons and Lucas Myers were named to the 11th Region All-Tournament Team.
Robinson started and pitched six strong innings in a first-round win over Franklin County on Sunday. He allowed four hits, six runs (four earned) with three walks and 11 strikeouts.
He was also 1-for-2 with two RBI.
In Southern's loss to Lafayette in the region semifinals, Robison -- a junior -- was 2-for-3 with a double.
Bannister -- a sophomore -- was 2-for-3 in the win over Franklin County. He scored four times and walked twice.
He also pitched the final inning, allowing two hits and one run with three strikeouts.
Myers helped No. 6 Central get past No. 19 Scott County in the first round of the 11th Region Tournament.
The senior pitched the final 3 1/3 innings, allowing two hits and one walk with two strikeouts as the Indians beat the Cardinals, 1-0.
Simmons was 2-for-3 against Scott County and drove in the only run of the game.
In the semifinals, Simmons -- a senior -- was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk as Central suffered an 11-3 loss to Tates Creek.
The all-tournament team was announced Wednesday after the championship game, which was held at Kentucky Proud Park in Lexington.
Tates Creek claimed the title with a 7-1 win over Lafayette.
Madison Central finished the season with a 27-10 record.
Madison Southern finished the season with a 16-15 record.
