The Monday Night Cash League was off for the week due to the Memorial Day holiday, so the only sanctioned league in action was the Thursday Summer Outcasts league.
Donnie Philbeck rolled the highest game of the week with a 279 score, while George Caddell bowled the top series with his 698.
In other bowling news, 60 bowlers from Madison County will venture out to Las Vegas this week to compete in the USBC Open Championships. This national competition is held from March until July each year and thousands of bowlers compete for top scores.
Special thanks to Steve Creech for all of his effort in organizing this trip for such a large group of people.
Best of luck to those heading out to bowl.
As a reminder, every Wednesday for the next 12 weeks, Galaxy Bowling Center will be hosting a sport shot weekly competition. A variety of difficult sport patterns will be put down over the course of 12 weeks for bowlers to challenge their skills on.
This event is open to anyone who wishes to participate, and money will be paid weekly to the top bowlers.
