The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team suffered an 85-38 loss to Eastern Illinois on Thursday in Charleston, Ill.
The Colonels (8-14, 2-9 Ohio Valley Conference) shot just 27.8 percent from the field -- including 0-of-19 from three-point range -- and had 25 turnovers.
EKU has lost five-straight games.
I'Liyah Green posted a team-high 11 points and six rebounds.
The Panthers (13-9, 7-4 OVC) scored the first nine points of the game and opened the first quarter on a 19-7 run take the lead and never gave it up.
The Colonels (8-14, 2-9 OVC) closed the opening quarter on a 6-1 run to cut the Panthers lead to 19-11 after the first quarter.
Eastern cut the EIU lead to six, 21-15, after four straight points by Green but the Colonels could never get any closer.
The Panthers opened the third quarter on a 7-2 run to take a 44-24 lead.
Qay Stanton posted six points off the bench. Emma Hacker chipped in six points.
Lariah Washington posted a game-high 17 points, five rebounds and three assists for Eastern Illinois. Karle Pace chipped in 16 points.
EIU shot 53 percent from the field.
The Colonels wrap up a two-game road swing on Saturday when they take on SIU-Edwardsville.
Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
