The EKU softball team will put a program-record 13-game winning streak on the line this weekend at Gertrude Hood Field.

The Colonels are set to play host to the three-day EKU Invitational.

The Colonels will play four games over the weekend. EKU takes on Illinois-Chicago at 2:30 p.m. and Dayton at 5 p.m today.

The Colonels will meet Akron on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and will wrap up their weekend with Dayton on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

The tournament will mark the first home games of the season for the Colonels.

EKU comes into the weekend at 17-2 after a 5-0 weekend at the Black & Gold Invitational.

Sammi Miller leads the way at the plate with a team-best .400 batting average, five doubles, two triples, 10 RBI and five stolen bases.

Mollie Paulick continues her stellar senior season after going 4-0 last weekend in the circle. Paulick was named OVC and D1 Softball Pitcher of the Week. The Centerville, Ohio, native is 9-1 on the season with a 1.29 ERA.

EKU's pitching staff has allowed seven earned runs over its past 10 games.

EKU ranks 27th in the country in fielding percentage.

EKU ranks 12th in the country in home runs per game, averaging 1.32 per game on the season.

This will be the sixth all-time meeting between EKU and Illinois-Chicago. The Flames lead the all-time series between the two teams, 3-2.

UIC comes into the weekend at 6-9 after going 2-3 at the OSU/Tulsa Invitational. The Flames defeated Louisville, 10-2.

Samantha Ferguson leads the way at the plate for UIC with a team-best .378 batting average. Ferguson has one double, one home run and three RBI on the year. Christina Toniolo leads the way in the circle with a 2.62 ERA.

EKU leads the all-time series with Dayton, 19-17. The Colonels knocked off Dayton earlier this year at Mercer, 14-6. The Flyers come into the weekend at 4-10 after going 2-2 at the UNCG Spartan Classic.

Lillie Knesel leads the way at the plate for the Flyers with a team-high .419 batting average, three doubles and two RBI. Jessica Weaver is 3-2 with a 3.66 ERA on the season.

EKU leads the all-time series with Akron, 6-1. Akron comes into the weekend at 6-13 but have a pair of midweek games against Marshall on Wednesday. Bailey Drapola comes into the weekend hitting .393, with seven doubles, one triple and three home runs. Adrian Smith is 3-6 on the year with six complete games.
