The Berea Community softball team picked up its third-straight lopsided victory Monday night at home, defeating Jackson County 10-0 in five innings.
Berea (4-3) has won its past three games by a 36-2 margin.
Jenny Ingram threw a complete game for Berea, allowing two hits while striking out nine batters.
The Pirates led 5-0 heading into the fifth then exploded for five runs highlighted by a two-run homer by Kayla Deborde
Taylor Winstead was 2-for-3 with a triple and single, Jordan Jolly was 2-for-3 with two singles and four RBIs, Mary Jefferson was 2-for-3 with a single and double,
Miranda Montgomery was 2-for-4 with two singles and an RBI, Ingram was 2-for-3 with two doubles, Tamara Richards was 2-for-3 with two singles and two RBIs and Brooke Coccari was 1-for-3 with an RBI single.
The Lady Pirates travel tonight to play Nicholas County at 6 p.m.

Patriots 12, Sayre 4
A big seventh-inning rally helped the Patriots pull away from Sayre Monday in the opening round of the 11th Region All “A” Classic in Lexington.
Model (4-5) scored seven times in the seventh and picked up a 12-4 win at Lexington Christian Academy.
With the victory, the Patriots move onto the semifinals to face LCA on Thursday in Lexington.
Turner Curtis went five innings and had five strikeouts. Jesse Middleton pitched the final two innings and had six strikeouts.
Model scored twice in the third to take a 2-1 lead. Ray White walked, then stole second, third and home to tie the game. Cody Billings doubled and scored on a Curtis Roberts double.
Model scored three more times in the fifth and had a 5-4 lead heading into the seventh. In the final inning, Kelly Daniels doubled and scored, while Cody Jones and Billings each had sacrifice bunts that scored runs.
Ollie Gasser was 2-for-3 and Billings was 3-for-5.
Model is scheduled to return to action today at Garrard County.
Jackson County 7, Berea Community 5
The Pirates couldn’t overcome a slow start Monday on the road.
Berea Community fell behind 7-1 after two innings - allowing five unearned runs - and suffered a 7-5 loss at Jackson County.
The Pirates battled back and had a chance to win the game in the seventh. They had the bases loaded, but Justin Sandeur grounded out to end the game.
Gabe Long was 3-for-3 for the Pirates.
Ben Miller started and went two innings, allowing just two earned runs.
Long pitched three innings and gave up two hits, no runs and had six strikeouts. Chris Kidd pitched one inning and had two strikeouts.
Berea is set to return to action Thursday against Frankfort in the semifinals of the 11th Region All “A” Classic in Lexington.
