Richmond National completed a dominating run through the District 3 11-12 year-old tournament Friday in Lawrenceburg.
Bryar Rose, Alex Mayes and Gavin Williams all hit home runs as Richmond National defeated Anderson County, 8-3 in the title game.
Anderson County jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, but Rose hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the inning and Richmond National never trailed again.
The All-Stars got a run in the second and third innings, then scored two more in the fifth.
Jeffrey Villanacci started and went one inning before Rose came on to pitch five solid innings.
In the first, Garrison Gray singled and Ryan Gordon walked before Rose homered. Caleb Miller scored a run later in the inning.
In the second, Gray singled and scored a run.
In the third, Mayes doubled and scored.
In the fifth, Mayes and Williams both hit home runs.
Richmond National advances to the state tournament, which is scheduled for next weekend in Lebanon.
The championship game of the District 3 11-year-old tournament will feature two Richmond teams.
Richmond National rallied for three runs in the sixth to defeat Harrison County 7-6 Friday at Lake Reba.
Jesse Cox and Jeremy Cox each homered as Richmond National set up a showdown with Richmond American in the title game. The championship game is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at Lake Reba.
Richmond trailed 6-4 heading into the sixth, but Caswell Patton singled, Cole Wilson had an RBI single, Cordell Hill had a hit and Austin Adams had an RBI fielder’s choice.
Jeremy Cox drove in the winning run with a fly ball to center field.
Dalton Moore started and went 4-plus innings, allowing six runs. Jeremy Cox came on to finish out the game.
The championship showdown between Richmond National and Richmond American in the District 3 Tournament in Cynthiana has been pushed back because of rain.
The two teams will meet at 1 p.m. today in the title game.
Richmond National has not lost a game in the tournament. If Richmond American wins today, the two teams will play again Sunday in Cynthiana.
The Richmond Senior League All-Stars will open postseason play today at Marshall Field at Lake Reba against Anderson County.
The teams will play a best two-of-three series to determine which squad moves on to the state tournament.
Two games are scheduled for today and a third would be played Sunday.

The tournament features two Richmond teams.
