Even without one of their best players in the lineup, the Lady Eagles rolled to another victory.

Madison Southern picked up a 3-0 win over Garrard County on Wednesday in Lancaster. The Lady Eagles won by scores of 25-7, 25-14 and 25-11.

Southern (20-3) has won 11-straight matches.

Senior outside hitter Sarah Mitchell missed the game to play for the school's soccer team.

Senior Alyssa Evans had eight kills, eight digs and five aces. Avery St. John had eight aces, seven kills and four digs.

Kyla Atkins finished with 10 assists, three kills, three aces and three digs.

Chayse McCreary had six kills. Kennedy Easterling had 13 assists and six digs. Hannah Martin had four kills and two blocks. Julia Bingham had four kills. Autumn Griffith had five aces and three digs. Ally Skidmore had five digs and Kennedy Johnson had two digs.

Southern is set to return to action today at Wolfe County.

Berea falls at Nicholas County

The Berea Community volleyball team suffered a 2-0 loss Wednesday at Nicholas County.

The Lady Pirates fell by scores of 25-22 and 25-10.

Malyah Penn had three kills and three digs. Taelor Alexander one kill and one assist.

Faith Dennis had two aces and 10 assists. Sophia Dobbins had three kills, one ace and one dig. Morgan Short had four kills and one dig, while Kaley Harrison had one kill.

Berea is set to return to action today at home against Madison Central.
