The Lady Eagles hadn't played in a week, but they certainly didn't look rusty when they faced North Laurel on Monday in Berea.

Madison Southern rolled to a 3-0 victory, winning by scores of 25-16, 25-11 and 25-14.

The Lady Eagles (10-2) have won nine of their past 10 matches.

Against North Laurel (5-9), Southern's Julia Bingham had 13 kills and three aces. Avery St. John had nine digs, seven kills and three aces.

Autumn Griffith had 21 digs and two aces. Kyla Atkins had 19 assists, five digs, four aces and three kills. Reece Estep had four digs, three kills, three aces and a block.

Macie Daniels had two kills and a block. Kara Combs had 10 assists and one kill.

Emma Haselwood had three digs and one kill. Bre Dawes had four digs, while Emily Young, Ally Skidmore, Kennedy Johnson and Chloe Osborrn had two digs each.

Southern has two district match-up later this week.

The Lady Eagles will play host to Model on Wednesday before traveling to Richmond on Thursday to face Madison Central in the annual Dig Pink Game.

Sayre rallies past Central

The Madison Central volleyball team had its two-match winning streak snapped on Monday in Lexington.

The Lady Indians had a two-set lead, but Sayre rallied for a 3-2 win. The Lady Spartans won by scores of 15-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-16 and 15-13.

Central had 19 aces and 39 kills.

Haven Combs had nine kills, four blocks, four digs and four aces.

Ananiah Huguely had eight kills and two digs. Avery Rigney had six kills and three digs. Skylar Whitaker had five kills, one assist and one dig.

Sicilia Friend had three kills, nine aces, 25 digs and seven assists. Macalia Morin had three kills, 15 digs and two aces.

Mary Carol Adams had two kills and 17 digs. Addison Martin had two kills, one block and one dig.

Sophie Hiles had one kill and one dig. Ella Cornett had 12 assists and seven digs. Journey Miserendino had 13 assists, nine digs and two aces. Kiersten Osborn had five assists and one dig, while Libby McMahan had three digs.

The Lady Indians are set to return to action today at Rockcastle County.
