The Madison Central volleyball team bounced back from a tough five-set loss with a win Tuesday on the road.

Avery Rigney and Addison Martin each had five kills as the Lady Indians (6-8) picked up a 2-0 victory over Rockcastle County. Central won by scores of 25-22 and 27-25.

The Lady Indians won the first two sets on Monday before Sayre rallied for a five-set victory.

On Tuesday, Central prevailed in two tough sets.

Rigney also had a block and an ace. Martin also had two digs.

Haven Combs had four kills, two digs and an ace. Macalia Morin had three kills, 11 digs, one assist and one ace. Ella Cornett had three aces, eight assists and two digs. Sophie Hiles had two kills and a dig. Mary Carol Adams had 16 digs, one ace and one kill. Sicilia Friend had seven digs, three assists and three aces. Ananiah Huguely had one kill and one block, while Journey Miserendino had eight assists and eight digs.

Central is set to return to action Thursday at home against 44th District rival Madison Southern.
