The Madison Central volleyball team put together its best all-around performance of the season on Tuesday in Winchester.

Haven Combs had a team-best nine kills as the Indians (3-10) picked up a 3-0 over Clark County. Central won by scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-20.

The Lady Indians had a total of 30 kills — with just nine hitting errors — and added six aces.

Combs also had six digs and two aces.

Tamara Collins had seven kills and two digs. Addison Martin had four kills. Avrey Rigney had three kills and a dig.

Vespera Meadows had two kills, 10 assists, five digs and one ace.

Macaila Morin had four digs and two kills. Sophie Hiles had two kills.

Sicilia Friend finished with 25 digs, four assists and two aces.

Reagan Wiseman had 13 assists and eight digs.

Central is set to return to action Thursday at home against Great Crossing.

Southern falls to Great Crossing

The Madison Southern volleyball team had its eight-match winning streak snapped on Tuesday in Georgetown.

The Lady Eagles (9-2) fell to Great Crossing, 3-1.

The Lady Warhawks won by scores of 18-25, 25-23, 25-19 and 26-24.

Sarah Mitchell finished with 10 kills and eight digs, while Hannah Martin had eight kills and three blocks.

Alyssa Evans had seven kills, four digs and three blocks. Kyla Atkins had 15 assists, 10 digs and seven aces.

Kennedy Easterling had 20 assists and 10 digs.

Autumn Griffith had 18 digs. Julia Bingham had four kills and Avery St. John had three kills and three digs.

Southern is set to return to action Thursday at home against Frederick Douglass.
