The Berea Community volleyball team completed a sweep of the regular-season series with district rival Model on Tuesday at home.

The Lady Pirates (14-12) rolled to a 3-0 victory.

Berea won by scores of 25-9, 25-10 and 25-4.

The Lady Pirates had 32 aces and 12 kills.

Berea had already beaten the Lady Patriots (0-11) twice this season -- 2-0 on Sept. 7 at the 11th Region All "A" Classic and 2-0 on Sept. 13 in Richmond.

Sophia Dobbins had 18 aces and one kill. Faith Dennis had seven aces, eight assists and one kill.

Taelor Alexander had five aces, one dig and one kill. Chesney Lovins had two kills and a block. Morgan Short had two aces, a block and a kill.

Kaley Harrison had two aces and three kills. Aricka Mullins had one ace and one block. Emily Biggs had one ace and one dig, while Chance Lovins had one ace and one dig.

Berea took early leads in each set.

The Lady Pirates went up 6-0 in the first set, then used an 11-0 run to pull even further ahead.

Model had a 4-2 in the second set, but Berea rallied behind the serving of Dobbins. The Lady Pirates put together a 13-0 run and never looked back.

Berea ran out to a 7-0 lead in the third set.

The Lady Pirates are set to return to action today at Nicholas County.

Model is set to return to action Thursday at home against Danville Christian.
