The Madison Central and Madison Southern tennis teams split a pair of matches on Tuesday in Richmond.

The Central boys remained undefeated on the season by topping the cross-county rival Eagles, 3-2, while the Southern girls topped the Lady Indians, 3-2.

In boys singles action, Southern's Zach Oakes defeated Dawson DuLaney, 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (10-7), while Central's Cameron Whitaker defeated Andrew Mayo, 6-4, 7-5, and Central's Pat Moren defeated Holden Doughtery, 6-2, 6-0.

In boys doubles action, Southern's Chase Hechemy and Cam Hechemy defeated Brayden Stamm and Chance White, 6-0, 6-0, and Central's Tom Morrison and Chandler Smith defeated Kenton Hylton and Drew Richmond, 6-2, 6-7, 1-0 (10-6).

In girls singles action, Central's Jacey Wilson defeated Carlie Hechem, 6-0, 6-0. Southern's Rebekah Christopher defeated Kaitlyn Shaffer, 6-4, 6-4, and Central's Leah Crump defeated Addison McAfee, 6-2, 6-1.

In girls doubles action, Southern's Julia Bingham and Morgan Benton defeated Emily Barney and Summer Olmsted, 7-6, 6-4, while Southern's Anna Seals and Riley Green defeated Sarah Buchanan/Reagan Brown, 6-0, 6-2.

Central is set to return to action Thursday at Franklin County.

Southern is set to return to action Thursday at Western Hills.
