The Model Laboratory swim team picked up eight first-place finishes Wednesday during a match-up with Lafayette at Eastern Kentucky University.

The Generals claimed the combined team title and the girls championship, while the Patriots won the boys competition (84-80).

Lafayette finished with 194 points.

Victoria Taylor was the Model only swimmer to win two events. She took first place in the 200 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke.

The Patriots won two boys relay events -- the 200 medley and 200 free -- and finished second in the 400 free.

Model's Isaac Brown took the title in the 100 butterfly and was second in the 200 IM.

Colin Jackson won the 50 free and was third in the 100 butterfly.

Kaden Collier was the winner in the 100 backstroke and was third in the 200 IM.

Caleb Mayer won the 500 free.

Model took second in all three girls relay events.

Other top finishers for the Patriots included: Lily Halcomb (third in 50 free and 100 free); Anthony Nasrallah (second in 100 free, third in 200 free); Jack Voss (second in 50 free); Harrison Higgs (second in 500 free); Tanner Jackson (third in 100 backstroke) and Daniel Rice (third in 100 breaststroke).

Model is set to return to action Saturday at the All "A" Championships in Barbourville.
