The Model Laboratory swim team opened the season with a match-up against Dunbar Wednesday at Eastern Kentucky University.
The Patriots won three individual events, including two by Victoria Taylor.
Dunbar swept the team titles.
In the combined scoring, the Bulldogs racked up 243 total points, while Model had 91.
Dunbar also won the girls competition (124-40) and the boys competition (119-51).
Taylor took first place in both the 500-yard freestyle (5:32.42) and the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.78).
Olivia Stotts claimed the title in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:03.22 and was also third in the 200 IM.
Madelynn Petry was third in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Model finished third in the girls 200-free relay.
Isaac Brown took second in the 200 IM and the 200 fly. Colin Jackson was second in both the 50 free and 100 backstroke, while Anthony Nasrallah was second in the 200 free and third in the 100 fly.
Jack Voss finished third in the 100 free.
The Model boys were second in the 200 free relay and the 400 free relay, while taking third in the 200 medley relay.
The Patriots are set to return to action on Dec. 4 at the Madison County Championships.
