The Harrison County boys soccer team hadn't lost a game all year — until they took on a pair of teams from Madison County.

Madison Central beat the Thorobreds, 3-0, then fell to Model Laboratory, 3-2, on Wednesday in Richmond.

Thomas Chadwell scored two goals as the Patriots (12-6) extended their winning streak to eight games. Jonathan Crosby also had a goal.

Shalin Kutty-Poffenberger, Milin Shah and Christopher Tioukalov all had assists, while Zack Long earned the win in goal.

With the loss, Harrison County fall to 10-2-2 on the season.

Model has won 10 of its last 11 games.

The Patriots are set to wrap up the regular season Saturday at Mercer County.

Lady Eagles fall again

The Madison Southern girls soccer team was handed a 3-1 loss to Lafayette on Wednesday in Lexington.

Brooke Harrison scored as the Lady Eagles (6-8-1) suffered a sixth-straight loss.

Southern is set to wrap up the regular season today at home against Garrard County.
