The Model Laboratory boys basketball team shot 58 percent from three-point range (10-of-17) and rolled to a 77-53 win over Bluegrass United on Friday in Richmond.
Ethan Bailey had 29 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as the Patriots (5-10) pushed their winning streak to three games.
Model had a 20-11 lead after the first quarter and took a 38-25 advantage into halftime. The Patriots shot 73 percent from the field in the first half, including 4-of-6 from three-point range.
Nate Feese had 14 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three blocks for Model. Bryson Perry had 11 points, five assists and three rebounds. Jackson Perry had 11 points (3-of-4 three-pointers) and Thomas Luxon had eight points and four rebounds.
Austin Hall and John Benson had two points each.
Model shot 56 percent from the field overall and was 15-of-16 from the free throw line.
The Patriots are set to return to action today at Williamsburg.
Lady Patriots fall to Lynn Camp
The Model Laboratory girls basketball team was back on it's home court for the first time since Jan. 19, but didn't have its leading scorer.
McKenna Tuttle had 22 points, but the Lady Patriots (2-6) fell to Lynn Camp, 76-69, on Friday in Richmond.
Model trailed 40-29 at halftime, but was able to get back within three points early in the fourth quarter. Lynn Camp, however, used a 10-0 run to reclaim control.
Junior Keaton Hall (13.1 points a game) was still out of the line-up for medical reasons. She is expected to return to action next week.
Kenzie Ferguson had 15 points against Lynn Camp, while Taylor LeCompte had 14 points. Paige Mattingly had 10 points. Alyssa Hudson and E.K. Lawson had three points each. McKenzie Johnson had two points.
Model is set to return to action Monday at home against Trinity Christian.
