The Madison Central and Model Laboratory girls golf teams claimed tournament titles this past weekend.
The Lady Indians won the Gene Hilen Invitational in Frankfort, while the Lady Patriots took the title at the Tom Harkleroad Invitational in Berea.
Madison Central shot a 309 and won by six strokes over Sacred Heart. The event took place at Juniper Hills.
Senior Mattie Neeley took the individual title with an-even par 72.
Elizabeth Eberle shot a 78. Reagan Clark had a 79. Katherine Taylor shot a 80 and Claira Ramsey had an 81.
The Lady Indians have won two-straight tournaments, moving them into first place in the state-wide team rankings.
Model shot a 362 and took the title at the Berea County Club by 44 strokes over Clay County.
Allie Shaffer shot an 83 and finished second, while Lydia Harrel shot an 86 and finished third.
Amelia Harrel had an 95, Lesley Durr fired a 98 and Kylie Pirtle shot a 108.
Madison Southern's Kasey Cameron (81) took the individual title.
Model finishes eighth
The Model Laboratory boys golf team shot a 334 and finished eighth out of 21 teams Saturday at the Eagles Trace Invitational in Morehead.
Mason Hamrick shot a 79 to lead the Patriots.
Nate Feese had an 83, Thomas Luxon shot an 85, Jake Hajjar fired an 87 and Caleb Ballard finished with a 90.
Central finishes eighth
The Madison Central boys golf team finished eighth on Saturday at the Trinity Shamrock Invitational.
The event was held at Wildwood County Club in Louisville.
The Indians shot a +33, 321.
Warren Thomis shot a +3, 75, and finished tied for eighth in the individual standings.
Clay Pendergrass shot a +7, 79, and tied for 22nd. Gavin McKune shot a +11, 83, and tied for 47th.
Bryce Snapp shot a +12, 84, and tied for 55th, while Cooper Eberle had a +17, 89, and finished tied for 84th.
