The Lady Indians trailed by as much as 11 points in the first half on Saturday afternoon at home against Harrison County.

They stormed back in the second half - in a big way.

Madison Central allowed only eight points in the second half and rallied for a 48-31 win. The comeback gave the Lady Indians (11-12) a fifth-straight victory.

Senior Jekauri McKeithen had 16 points and 20 rebounds, Taleya Todd had 12 points, five blocks and four rebounds while Eve Carter added nine points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Central trailed 23-17 at halftime, but out-scored the Fillies 19-2 in the third quarter. Harrison County hit just 2-of-23 field goal attempts in the second half and shot just 20.9 from the field for the game.

The Lady Indians had 20 turnovers, but out-rebounded the Fillies, 47-27.

Gretchen Hammitt had eight points and four rebounds. Brianna Bierbaum had three points and six rebounds.

Central is set to return to action Monday at Garrard County.

Model rally falls short

The Lady Patriots but together a fourth-quarter comeback, but couldn't come up with a win Saturday on the road.

Keaton Hall had 17 points and five rebounds as Model suffered a 54-49 loss to Clinton County in Albany. Taylor LeCompte had 11 points and eight rebounds, while McKenna Tuttle had 10 points and three assists.

Model trailed 27-19 at halftime and was down 43-27 after three quarters. The Lady Patriots out-scored the Lady Bulldogs 22-11 in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Patriots (16-7) have lost three of their past four games.

Model is set to return to action Tuesday at home against Paris.

Southern suffers fourth-straight loss

The Lady Eagles fell to 12-12 on the season with a 65-56 loss to Campbell County on Saturday in Alexandria.

Madison Southern has lost four-straight.

Sam Cornelison had 14 points and four rebounds, while Aleigh Richardson added 13 points and eight rebounds.

Morgan Flannery had 12 points and five assists. Sunni Walters had 10 points and two steals. Hallie Harrison had two points and five rebounds. Caylen Conrad had two points. Skylar Sparks had one point and one rebound. Tara Wooten had one point and one steal, while Reece Estep had one point and one rebound.

Southern is set to return to action Tuesday at home against Casey County.
