The Model Laboratory boys soccer team snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a strong performance Tuesday on the road against Boyle County.

Jonathan Crosby had four goals as the Patriots (2-4) rolled to an 8-3 win over the Rebels.

Thomas Chadwell had a goal and three assists, while goalkeeper Zach Long made three saves.

Model opened the season with a 5-1 win over North Laurel at home.

After that, the Patriots struggled to get their offense on track. They scored five goals during the losing streak, including a 4-1 loss at home last weekend to Owensboro.

Model had five players score goals against Boyle County (2-2).

John Benson had a goal and an assist. Christopher Bentley and Chris Tioukalov each also had a goal.

Cruse Pingleton and Keshav Bhandari both had an assist.

Model is set to return to action Thursday at district rival Madison Southern.
