The Patriots (4-11) couldn't battle back from a very tough first half on Wednesday in the semifinals of the 11th Region All "A" Classic at Lexington Christian Academy.
Cruse Pingleton had 28 points, but Model Laboratory suffered a 65-42 loss to Frankfort. Bryson Perry and Camden Stamm each had five points as the Patriots fell behind early and eventually trailed by as much as 26 points.
Frankfort led 16-8 after one quarter and went into halftime with a 23-12 lead.
Model shot 20 percent from the field in the first half (4-of-20, including 0-of-8 from three-point range).
The Panthers (7-12) advance to the championship game and will take on Lexington Christian Academy.
Pingleton was 11-of-16 from the field. The rest of the Patriots combined to hit just 5-of-28 shots.
Model was 0-of-12 from three-point range and 10-of-19 at the free throw line.
Frankfort out-rebounded the Patriots 48-24, including a 21-6 advantage in offensive boards.
Ethan Bailey and Nate Feese had two points each for Model. Feese also had nine rebounds and three assists.
The Patriots are set to return to action Tuesday at Western Hills.
