The Indians (13-0-1) stayed unbeaten on the season with another very impressive performance on Tuesday.
Gavin O'Shea had three goals as Madison Central rolled to a 5-0 win over Clark County in Winchester. Ethan Vice had a goal and two assists and Sam Hughes had a goal and an assist.
Tyler Smith had two assists.
O'Shea gave Central a 1-0 lead off a feed from Vice, then scored on a cross from Smith. Hughes found the net to give the Indians a 3-0 lead at halftime.
O'Shea scored his team-best 29th goal of the season early in the second half on a feed from Smith. Vice converted a corner from Hughes a few minutes later.
The Indians have six shutout victories on the season and have out-scored their opponents 75-9 on the season.
Central is set to return to action Thursday at Franklin County.
Eagles snap skid
The Eagles snapped a two-game winless streak with an important win Tuesday on the road.
Jase Duerson and Garrett Wickersham had goals as Madison Southern (5-5-1) picked up a 2-1 win over No. 25 Montgomery County in Mt. Sterling.
The game was scoreless at halftime.
Wickersham got the ball on his foot, worked around the centerback and got a one-on-one with the keeper, who he beat.
Two minutes later, Wickersham won a ball on a counter, then feed Duerson, who converted on a breakaway opportunity.
Montgomery County scored with 15 minutes left.
Austin Shepherd earned the win in net for Southern.
The Eagles are set to return to action Thursday at home against Trinity Christian.
