The Lady Patriots used a strong second-half performance to snap a two-game losing streak Saturday in Richmond against Wolfe County.

Model (6-12) led by five points at the half, then scored 30 points in the final two quarters and went on to pick up a 51-36 victory.

Abby Vicars led the Lady Patriot offense. The sophomore guard hit five three-pointers and finished with a game-best 19 points. Senior Hayley Hunt added 17 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists.

Model trailed 7-5 after the first quarter, but bounced back and took a 19-14 lead into halftime. The Lady Patriots led by double digits in the third and continued to pull away.

The Lady Patriots shot just 36 percent from the field and hit only 12-of-24 free throw attempts.

Wolfe County (12-12) shot 21 percent from the field and was 9-of-16 at the line.

Mallory Smith had six points and six rebounds, Emily Jackson had five points, while Emily Osborne and Chloe Dyer had two points each.

Model is set to return to action Monday at home against West Jessamine.
