It's been a stormy week in Madison County, but there is still action scheduled for today at the Richmond Raceway.
The dirt track is set to play host to a full night of action, with racing in four divisions.
The highlight will be the Sonic Super Late Models. The race is a $1,500-to-win event and the winner will receive a provisional for the July 19 $3,000-to-win Prelude to the Butch Shay Memorial.
Also scheduled to be in action today are the Realty World Trifecta Pro Late Models ($1,000-to-win), Eagle Financial UMP Modifieds ($1,000-to-win) and the Cohen Recycling 4 Cylinders ($500-to-win).
Pit gates open at 2 p.m. Pit admission is $35 for adults, or $15 for children 6 through 12.
Grandstands open at 3 p.m.
General admission is $15 for adults, while admission for children 12-and-under is free.
Racing is set to start at 6 p.m.
A big crowd was at the Richmond Raceway last Saturday for Fan Appreciation Night, which was sponsored by the Kentucky Speedway.
There was action in six divisions.
In the Bubba's Towing Sport Mods race, Dallas Pickelheimer took the title. Adam Jones was second and Garet McCloud was third.
In the Eagle Financial UMP Modifieds race, Jimmy Crabtree was the winner. Russ Gabbert was second and Dennis Roberson was third.
Glen Hounshell Jr., took the title in the ARBodies KDRA Super Stocks race. Jamey Adams was second and Greg Hensley was third.
In the Cohen Recycling 4 Cylinder event, Allen Hackworth finished in first place. Brandon Creech was second and Tyler Hayes was third.
Todd Coffman crossed the finish line first in the Realty World Trifecta Pro Late Models event last Saturday. However, he was disqualified after a post-race protest.
Jeff Watson was declared the winner. A.J. Hicks was second and Tyler Cain was third.
In the make-up of the May 11 Reality World Trifecta Pro Late Models, Jim Couch took the title.
