Bailee Vanover accounted for 59 percent of the goals scored this year by the Berea College women's soccer team.

The Central graduate had a tremendous sophomore season.

On Thursday, the Madison Central graduate was honored by the USA South Conference. Vanover was named Second-Team Western Divsion.

The forward had 13 goals and assist. She played in all 18 games with 17 started and had 80 shots and two game-winning goals.

Berea College finished the season with a 3-15 record and a 1-7 mark against league opponents.

The Lady Mountaineers did not qualify for the USA South Conference Tournament.

Vanover had four goals and four assists on 44 shots during her freshman season.

The Richmond native is a two-sport standout at Berea College. She averaged 11.6 points a game for the school's basketball team last season and was a USA South Second-Team West Division selection.

The Lady Mountaineers are set to open the basketball season on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Asbury.
