Pardon the interruption.
I was not able to prepare a bowling column for last week's Register because an injury required surgery.
My friends, Fred and Margaret Tilsley, have agreed to provide the week's best scores and other bowling items for this column until my recuperation is further along.
This column will include the top performances in Galaxy Leagues for the past two weeks.

Hospice benefit tourney set for Sunday
The fourth-annual Lemetta Dause memorial tournament for the benefit of Hospice Care Plus will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. Lemetta was an avid bowler who was lost to cancer in Dec. 2011.
The activities will include a silent auction. The proceeds of the tourney and auction will be donated to Hospice Care Plus in honor of Lemetta.
The tournament will use the no-tap and 3-6-9 formats. Nine pins down with the first ball in a frame counts as a strike in no-tap bowling, and the bowlers will be awarded free strikes in the third, sixth and ninth frames.
Everyone is invited to participate. The cost is $20 to bowl four games in this fun format while supporting a most worthy cause. Door prizes will be awarded.
Any one who would like to donate items for the silent auction or door prizes may contact Harvey Poynter at 582-4764 or Beverly Shearer at 625-4130.
