A look at what readers have been talking about and commenting on The Register's Facebook page.
When we published a story recently about Rand Paul testing positive for COVID-19, commenters had a lot to say. Here are some of your comments:
Sheila Raftery: Stupidity at its finest! He also put his political pals in danger!
Elaine Baker Steinbach: Praying for Senator Paul and his loved ones as well as those who have shown a lack of compassion. Keeping all those who are sick and their family and friends in my prayers. I feel we need to encourage each other at this time and lose the negativity.
Nick Calmes: Any person laughing about this because of who he is can go to hell.
Chris Hensley: After he took his test, he went to the gym and out to dinner and was around people not knowing the results of his test. He's a physician and he's endangering people's lives. This is why people shouldn't vote republican!
Jeanne Carr: Why should he be tested having no symptoms! Oh I forget...connected persons are in the front of the line!! Like 45 said..that's life!! Oh yeah..I almost forgot....thoughts and prayers.

Commenters also had much to say on a story about longtime reporter Ronnie Ellis passing away:
Michele Watson Douglas: I always read his commentary/articles. He wrote so superbly with such insight. I was sorry to hear of his retirement but doubly so to hear of his passing.
Brian Smith: Honored to have shared pages with him in my time at the Register. Ronnie was a fantastic reporter and we could use more people like him in the business.
