I lived during World War II. I saw how Hitler took over Germany. First he surrounded himself with a loyal group to protect him and do his bidding.
Then he got rid of the free press. If you repeat the same thing over and over, "fake news," people begin to believe it. It was called brain washing.
Now we are told the FBI and the judicial system are made up of bad people. Today we hear about raids in Mississippi. Children have been separated from families and placed in cages.
What is the difference between the raids the Gestapo made and the raids ICE are making? We just haven't incinerated anyone yet. I pray that isn't the next step.
I once believed our democracy was safe. It's frightening to see how quickly it is being destroyed. I did not realize it is so fragile.
Searching for family information
My name is Jana Sue Mathias-Bower. I am looking for any information and photographs on the following people and I will pay postage and the cost of copying any information or photos that you send to me; and I look forward to hearing from any of the descendants of these people who would like to contact me.

Don't know if they were twins born in the same year or just happened to be separate births in the same year; John Fountain Rice born 1873-died 1902 in Berea, Madison Co., Ky. He was my great-grandfather; Sallie Frances Rice born Sept. 23, 1875 in Lebanon, Ky.-died in 1959; Lois born 1876, in California; James born 1880- died 1881; Dora Boggs Rice born Sept. 28, 1881-died 1946; Dora was born in Ky; and Robert Z. born Aug. 16, 1886 in Ky-died 1962.

Thank you for any help in my search for family information. My grandfather Lewis Preston Rice died before I was two years old, so I don't know much about that part of my family. Not even what they look like, etc.
This means the world to me. Thank you again so much.
Protect Home Health for America's Seniors
Millions of seniors across the US rely on Medicare home health to remain in their homes and receive necessary skilled health care services. However, a new Medicare payment model threatens to restrict access to care for America's most vulnerable seniors who depend on these services. If implemented, this payment model will cut Medicare home health by 6.42% -- equaling more than $1 billion in 2020 - based purely on assumptions about changes in provider behaviors under the new system.
Fortunately, Congress has recently taken action to protect home health by introducing the Home Health Payment Innovation Act (S.433 & H.R. 2573). While our lawmakers are home for Summer recess, I encourage them to learn more about their constituents who depend on home health and urge them to support this vital legislation when they return to Capitol Hill.
