UPDATE 2/25/17 5:51 p.m.: The Kentucky State Police has confirmed that Mikayla R. Wolney, 16, of Berea, was located unharmed this afternoon in Indiana. She is being transported back to Kentucky, according to a KSP release.
Original story 2/24/17 10:33 p.m.: Kentucky State Police are asking for help locating a missing Berea teen.
According to a Friday night release, KSP Post 7 received a call during the evening reporting that Mikayla R. Wolney, 16, didn’t return home from school.
Based on an initial investigation, Wolney was last seen around 8 a.m. getting off a bus at Madison Southern High School. The release states Wolney was last seen wearing a white Madison Southern shirt and blue skinny jeans.
Wolney is described as being 5’7”, 206 lbs, with black hair and blue eyes. The teen has gauges in both ears and a small piercing in the top of her left ear, as well as a nose and lip piercing, according to the release.
