Over the course of the year, the Madison Southern High School Greenhouse class has been managing the greenhouse located next to Shannon Johnson Elementary. The class, which is taught by the new agriculture teacher, Janna Cline, mostly focuses on ways to produce and how to properly take care of plants. In a years time, the class has managed to produce many a variety of plants. Starting Saturday, the the greenhouse will be open for people to purchase items. Some of the plants they will have for sale are Boston ferns, wave petunias, bedding flowers, pineapples, tomatoes and peppers. The students have been learning everything from propagating, hydroponics, managing a business, all the way to seeding vegetables and herbs. The greenhouse will be open April 20 through May 17, Monday through Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
