SECOND UPDATE 7/11/19 7:30AM: One arrest has been made following the search for missing Richmond mother Savannah Spurlock, according to our news partner WKYT.
David Sparks was arrested Thursday in connection with the search for Savannah Spurlock. Sparks was booked into the Madison County Detention Center Thursday morning and is charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
UPDATE 07/11/19 1:36AM: According to Kentucky State Trooper Robert Purdy, human remains were located by law enforcement officials just before midnight.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, the deceased is being taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy and identification.
According to our news partner WKYT, troopers say the search was on the property of a potential suspect's family. Law enforcement received a tip around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The Richmond Police Department confirmed Wednesday evening that they are in Garrard County in regards to the Savannah Spurlock case.
RPD is at the scene on Perkins Lane, a previously searched area, with Kentucky State Police, Garrard County authorities and the FBI.
According to our news partner WKYT, a coroner is at the scene of the search. Authorities have yet to find remains.
FBI Louisville tweeted Wednesday night that its Evidence Response Team was at a residence as part of the Spurlock investigation. The tweet noted further comment “will only be made when additional details are available.”
Spurlock was last seen on Jan. 4 leaving The Other Bar at 319 S. Limestone in Lexington. According to previous reports, investigators say she left with three men. Investigators have talked to all three and learned Spurlock went to a Garrard County home after being at the bar.
