SECOND UPDATE 08/01/19 8:11 AM: On Wednesday at approximately 8:34 p.m., Richmond Police arrested and charged a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with the shooting that occurred earlier that day on North Hill Street.
The juvenile was charged with first-degree assault and possession of handgun by a minor
The 39-year-old male victim remains in stable but critical condition, according to an RPD release.
UPDATE: Richmond police have arrested three teenagers following a shooting that seriously injured one man Tuesday morning.
Officers say they responded to a disturbance in the area of North Hill Street at 4:43 a.m., according to a news release. When they searched the area, they found a man with a serious gunshot wound.
The man, who police have yet to identify, was taken to a hospital where he is considered stable.
Police arrested one of the teenagers shortly after the shooting, and the other two were arrested hours after it happened, according to WKYT, The Register’s news partner. Investigators are not searching for additional suspects. All three are younger than 18.
At approximately 04:43 a.m. Wednesday, Richmond Police responded to a disturbance in the area of North Hill Street. While searching the area, police discovered a male victim with a visible gunshot wound, an RPD release notes.
The victim was taken for emergency treatment and is currently stable but in critical condition. Police are still on scene, the release notes, and an investigation is underway.
