Richmond police arrested a man for first-degree controlled substance trafficking (methamphetamine) and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia after he was driving with his high beams on in the area of Pine and East Main streets Sunday.

Officers pulled over the vehicle, which was being driven by Adam Castle, 45, Gumbottom Road, Waco. He gave officers consent to search the vehicle, and they found 8.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine in plain view.

Castle said he bought the meth in Berea and sold some of it to three people before police pulled him over.

Police also found a glass pipe and operational scale, both of which had residue.

Castle was taken to the Madison County Detention Center, where he remained Wednesday afternoon, according to online jail records.
