Kentucky State Police arrested a man after troopers found more than 400 THC vape pens in a vehicle he was driving on I-75 North Thursday morning.
Police pulled over the vehicle for careless driving and spoke with the driver, Adam Abbott-Goudiaby, 30, Lansing, Michigan, and could smell marijuana, according to his arrest citation.
Abbott-Goudiaby said he was around people who smoked, and nothing was in the vehicle, the citation states. Police had him exit the vehicle while troopers searched the vehicle.
During the search, Abbott-Goudiaby said he'd be honest and said he had a gram of weed in his bag. He opened his bag and retrieved a container with marijuana.
Troopers continued to search the vehicle and found more than 400 THC vape pens, more than 1 pound of high-grade marijuana bud and more than 1 pound of THC gummies in the trunk, the citation states.
Abbott-Goudiaby said he didn't know about the THC or marijuana bud, but said he was just delivering the suitcase it was found inside to a friend.
He was taken to the Madison County Detention Center and was released later on Thursday, according to online jail records.
