Man charged with assault and terroristic threatening

Elvin Dyer, 56, Meadowbrook Road, Richmond, has been charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence/minor injury) and third-degree terroristic threatening after being arrested by Kentucky State Police on a warrant.

The warrant states that on Sept. 3 KSP were dispatched in reference to a domestic dispute. When they arrived the victim stated she and Dyer got into a verbal altercation over cigarettes and Dyer had cursed her out and told her to leave. As the victim was packing her belongings into a vehicle Dyer allegedly told her she was not going with him. She asked if she could use his phone to call her father to come and get her and Dyer allegedly continued to curse and threaten her and again told her to leave. The warrant then states that Dyer grabbed the victim by her neck and lifted her up and yelled in her face to leave before he killed her.

Dyer was arrested on Oct. 8 and taken to the Madison County Detention Center.

Other arrests include:

• Quron Meeks, 33, Union, KY, alcohol intoxication in a public place, second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

• Lloyd Young, 42, Guynn Road, Paint Lick, operating on a suspended or revoked license, first0degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/first offense), failure to or improper signal.

• Jeremy Burton, 33, Buckmen Street, Sheperdsville, KY, manufacturing methamphetamine (first offense), second-degree burglary, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/first offense).
