Berea police arrested a man on a Madison County indictment warrant Thursday that charges him with two counts of first-degree controlled substance trafficking (2 grams or more of methamphetamine) and selling/transferring a simulated controlled substance.
Joseph Combs, 36, Patsy Lane, Berea, was also arrested on a Madison County warrant that charges him with menacing.
He was taken to the Madison County Detention Center, where he remained Friday afternoon, according to online jail records.

Alvin Thornton, 37, Lexington, was arrested in Fayette County and booked into the MCDC Thursday afternoon on three Madison County warrants with numerous charges.
One of the warrants, an indictment warrant that he was arrested for on Tuesday by Fayette County deputies charges him with first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, disregarding a stop sign, failure to or improper signal, reckless driving, first-degree persistent felony offender and second-degree persistent felony offender following an incident from March.
The other two warrants charge Thornton with first-degree bail jumping, second-degree persistent felony offender an failure to appear.
Thornton remained in jail Friday afternoon, according to online jail records.

Richmond police arrested Lewis Cole, 32, Reed Hill Road, Berea, for theft by unlawful taking (less than $500), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc. first-degree controlled substance possession (methamphetamine) and operating on a suspended or revoked license after officers were called to Tractor Supply, where it was reported that a motorcycle battery was stolen.
Officers were told Cole was trying to leave the store on a red motorcycle, and when they arrived at the store, they saw him trying to leave the parking lot, a citation states. Police pulled Cole over and noticed he had pinpoint pupils and glassy, bloodshot eyes.
Cole said he consumed suboxone earlier in the day and methamphetamine the previous day, the citation states. He then failed a field-sobriety test.
During a search before arresting Cole, officers found the stolen battery and a baggie with methamphetamine, the citation states.
Cole was taken to the MCDC, where he remained Friday afternoon, according to online jail records.

Madison County deputies arrested Anna Harper, 39, Irvine, on an Estill County warrant Thursday that charges her with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
According to the warrant, on March 27, 2018, Harper tried to present a fake $50 bill at McDonald's.
Harper was taken to the MCDC and was released early Friday morning.

Madison County deputies arrested Kelly Quarrles, 40, Meadowbrook Road, Richmond, for buying/possessing drug paraphernalia and first-degree controlled substance possession (methamphetamine) after they served a search warrant at his residence.
Deputies found a methamphetamine pipe with residue in Quarrles's room, according to a citation.
He was taken to the MCDC, where he remained Friday afternoon, according to online jail records.
