People of all ages crowded at the Berea branch of the Madison County Public Library on Thursday evening for the first of the year Berea Free Market. Held every Thursday, the monthly event draws more than 70 people each time its held. The next free market will be on February 7 at 5:30 p.m. Plans to start a Richmond Free Market is in the works, once the renovations are complete at the Richmond branch. Interested persons are invited to bring stuff they'd like to let get rid of, though bringing items is not necessary to come to the event and patrons can leave with a haul of free stuff. For more information about the free market or other events and programming at the library, visit http://www.madisonlibrary.org/.
