Maker’s Mark will join St. Mark Catholic Church to offer a special bottle of Maker’s Mark dipped in pink wax to raise awareness and money to fight breast cancer.
Only 50 bottles will be available as each are auctioned beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, August 23, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 608 West Main St., Richmond. All proceeds will go to Breast Cancer Awareness.
The bottles will be available as part of St. Mark’s 12 Grand Event. These limited edition bottles also will be available on eBay and www.saintmarkcatholicchurch.net.
“We are thrilled that Maker’s Mark is producing these bottles,” the Rev. James W. Sichko said. “This is an extremely limited number available and, for collectors, this is something really special. We know there will be a tremendous demand for these bottles that will help raise awareness of breast cancer in our community.
“On a related note, part of the proceeds for our next ‘An Evening Among Friends’ Saturday, which will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in Richmond’s Brock Auditorium, will benefit breast cancer awareness,” he said.
“An Evening with Friends” grew out of concept that St. Mark, as church is called to improve the quality of life and to give back what it has received. The mission of St. Mark Church is to foster gospel values through Christian education and to promote the dignity of the person, family and community through worship, service and fellowship.
For collectors and people wanting to make a difference, this special Maker’s Mark bottle will be an incredible item. “We know the community will enjoy these special collector’s bottles and we know the money raised will greatly help in the fight to end breast cancer,” he said.
