Berea police officers and Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested four people Thursday on drug trafficking charges after a large amount of heroin were found in two Richmond homes.

Christopher Mullins, 21; Jermaine Twilley, 42; and Jermaine Benning, 24; all were charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jennifer Mullins, a resident of one of the homes in the 4000 block of North Cross Point Court, and Christopher Mullins also were charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, according to a report from the Berea Police Department.

The BPD and MSO executed two search warrants Thursday at the homes, the release stated. Inside one of the home they reported finding more than 58 separate packs of heroin, scales, plastic Baggies and $217.

The heroin was packaged in pieces of folded lottery tickets, the report stated.

The officers also reported one of the homes had a table that was used for processing the drugs along with a plate and plastic bags with trace amounts of drug residue.
