Forty-five business and organization booths crowded into the EKU Perkin’s Building on Thursday night for the Richmond Chamber of Commerce annual kickoff event.
Executive Director Mendi Goble spoke, updating chamber members on last year’s achievements while also talking about upcoming 2014 events.
Madison County’s attainment of Work Ready certification with assistance from the chamber and its members will greatly benefit the local economy, including the chamber’s member businesses, she said.
Chamber members networked and socialized during the two-hour event while enjoying a catered meal. Several member tables offered products for sale, including jewelry and cosmetics.
