The Madison Fiscal Court adopted amendments to the county’s building code ordinance Tuesday morning.
Judge/Executive Kent Clark said the changes bring the county ordinance into compliance with state regulations.
The court also accepted a bid of $77,200 from Teco Mechanical Contractors to repair the detention center’s heating and air conditioning system.
In addition, the court heard an update from Pat Banks of the Kentucky River Authority about its progress and future plans. Banks said the authority is looking for funding to create parks at certain locations along the river and installing portages in the dams through which kayaks and rafts can pass.
The court also went into executive session to discuss an issue of potential litigation. No action was taken afterward.
Fiscal court will next meet 9:30 a.m. Feb 11 at the county courthouse, 101 W. Main Street.
