The Berea Folk Dancers will present an English and American dance weekend Friday and Saturday with internationally popular teacher and caller Jacqueline Schwab. She also is a well-known pianist who can be heard on the soundtracks of the Ken Burns series “The Civil War” and others.

The weekend event includes workshops Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. A Saturday evening party begins with a potluck at 6:30 p.m. and dance at 8 p.m.

The cost of the weekend is $20 for students and $50 for nonstudents. Participants may choose individual sessions — the daytime workshops are $10 and the evenings are $15. For students, all sessions are $5.

All sessions will be in the Berea College Alumni Building activities room. For more details, or to preregister, call 986-9777.
