Kentucky State Police are investigating a Friday morning collision on Battlefield Memorial Highway which sent a woman and two children to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
According to a KSP news release, a 2006 Hyundai Sonata was traveling north when it left the road, overturned and struck a utility pole and fence before coming to a rest in a field.
Chassidy Turpin, 18, of Richmond, was taken to the hospital for treatment. Two children, a 2-year-old and a 7-month-old, also were sent to the hospital for observation.
Trooper Ken Bradley is investigating the crash, and he was assisted on the scene by other KSP personnel, the Madison Sheriff’s Department, Madison County EMS and the Kingston Fire Department.
