• Congo Connection Vacation Bible School sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, White Oak Pond Christian Church and First Christian Church on Main Street. • The Madison County Retired Teachers memorial service, 11:30 a.m., community room of the First Christian Church of Richmond. Service is to honor those educators who have passed away during this year. The meeting will be begin at 11:30 with a potluck lunch. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

• Kentucky Chemical Demilitarization Citizens’ Advisory Commission and Chemical Destruction Community Advisory Board Meeting will be held Wednesday, 1:30 p.m., Eastern Kentucky University's Carl D. • Guided Hike at the Pinnacles, 10 a.m., The Forestry Outreach Center, 2047 Big Hill Rd., Berea. Weather permitting, a Forestry Outreach Center volunteer or staff member will lead educational hikes on varying trails in the BC Forest. For more information, call 859-756-3315.

• Celebration of Flag Day, 9 a.m., Madison County Courthouse Steps. Presentation of a new flag to the county and area Boy Scouts will lead ceremony of retiring the old flag.

• Crossroads Summer Music Series, 7 p.m., Richmond Centre. This week's performance is by Lauren Mink, today's country.

• Dive-in Movie at Berea City Pool, 7:30 p.m., Berea. Free swim starts at 7:30 p.m. and movie, "How to Train Your Dragon: Hidden World", starts around 9.

• Madison County Farmers Market, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Lowes parking lot, Eastern Bypass, Richmond. Each Saturday, over 35 vendors set up their booths for the rain-or-shine market. • The Richmond City Commission will host a special called joint meeting that will include the city of Berea and the Madison County Fiscal Court. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 p.m. with the meeting to begin at noon. The event will be held at the Madison County Extension Office at 230 Duncannon Lane, in Richmond. The event is open to the public.

• Building Dreams with Dreaming Creek - First Responders Build Fundraiser, 6-9 p.m., Dreaming Creek Brewery, 109 E Irvine, Richmond. Kid friendly, family atmosphere, outdoor games and activities for families, live music, Barnyard Grub Food Truck.
