Baptismal services for 25 people were conducted Sunday at Full Gospel Tabernacle.

Hello everyone.

Full Gospel Tabernacle had a great Sunday. Pastor Rickey Horn, assisted by Steve and Duane, baptized 25 people in the creek.

After a few songs, Rickey gave a short sermon on the bank, then went to work in the water.

Sometimes the old ways are the best ways or they were that day. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

The men of the church are planning a men’s outing, Sept. 17, to Bass Pro shop in Indiana.

If you would like to join them in this adventure, call Alan at 314-1916 or Doug at 779-8068.

Full Gospel Tabernacle will not be having evening service this Sunday.

Kirksville Baptist Church will be working its youth for donations to the youth activities fund.

They will be working on the following Saturdays: Sept. 3, 10 and 17 and Oct. 1 and 15.

They will be doing anything from babysitting, yard work, cleaning and painting. They will be doing just anything.

If you don’t have work for them, I am sure they would accept a donation anyway.

Help the youth. Support the young people. Show them we care.

Well, Kirksville Baptist Church already is thinking about Kirksville Day on Sept. 24.

They are having a youth-sponsored block party following the parade. This will happen in the church parking lot.

There will be music, fellowship and games for all ages. More details about the event to come.

I hope all the churches are getting their plans made for the festival. Meetings will start soon.
