It was not a normal Fourth of July in Madison County with Lake Reba's annual holiday tradition being a fireworks show only Saturday.
With no vendors at the park in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, attendees were asked to stay in their cars for the fireworks, which started at 10 p.m.
The virus, however, didn't stop other folks throughout Richmond from celebrating.
Each year, a neighborhood in the area of Burnam Court and Main Street blocks of the road, with city permission, for a bike parade, according to Elizabeth McIntosh King.
Children in the area play in the street all day and decorate their bikes for the parade, which started at 5 p.m. Saturday.
The neighborhood also celebrated the Fourth of July with a potluck dinner, swimming and fireworks. See more photos of the fireworks and the bike parade online at richmondregister.com.
